Australian Institute of Implant Dentistry and COVID19
Australian Institute of Implant Dentistry priority is the safety and well-being of its patients, employees and community.
The Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to receive significant media attention as the number of confirmed cases increases in Australia and worldwide. As such, it’s an appropriate time to remind our patients what we are doing to keep them safe.
Over the past month, Australian Institute of Implant Dentistry has implemented a number of precautionary measures to provide patients and employees with an environment that is safe and secure, while continuing to provide a world-class dental experience.
How is Australian Institute of Implant Dentistry dealing with COVID19?
Australian Institute of Implant Dentistry has been twice QIP accredited. QIP is a voluntary accreditation that demonstrates a dental practice is committed to providing excellent dental care and is continuously improving its level of care for patients. The accreditation is based on integrating National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS) into everyday practice and patient safety standards.
Not only are we following are usual practices, we are also implementing additional measures to help minimise the risk of disease transmission and give our patients, staff and the community peace of mind.
We are now implementing more frequent cleaning of clinical and non-clinical areas focusing on “high touch areas” such as door handles, computers, telephones and EFTPOS terminals.
Furthermore, we have provided increased provision of alcohol-based hand sanitisers in all areas and rooms of the surgery. We also have a patient refreshment area where you can wash your hands with sanitising solutions.
We are also using ozone therapy to disinfect areas as ozone is proven to be highly effective against bacterial, viruses and fungi.
What should i do if have flu like symptoms?
During this critical time, we request anyone with any flu like symptoms re-appoint unless they have a genuine emergency. We are all responsible to limit the spread of the disease and should follow the governments guidelines.
Australian Institute of Implant Dentistry will continue to monitor COVID-19 information and expert advice. Valued patients, employees and the community safety will always be our top priority.
